Counterfeiting in the open component market continues to be a significant threat. For as long as legitimate organizations have needed authentic electronic components, there have been those trying to illegally profit through counterfeiting. Supply chain shortages make the situation worse. Our counterfeit mitigation policy helps protect you from these issues.

Odyssey Electronics LTD has adopted a Zero Counterfeit objective and will continue to show this commitment to continual improvement and customer satisfaction through precise inspections which carefully screen for the threats of counterfeiting and ensure the delivery of quality products. It is the policy of Odyssey Electronics LTD to prevent the procurement, acceptance, and shipment of suspect / counterfeit products.

Our Counterfeit Mitigation Policy Is Achieved By

Developing policies and procedures on how to avoid and handle counterfeit components, including how to:

  • Avoid purchasing suspect / counterfeit parts.
  • Test, handle and track incoming and outgoing parts.
  • Manage and dispose of suspect / counterfeit parts.

Implementing counterfeit avoidance and management training programs which include:

  • How to avoid purchasing suspect / counterfeit parts.
  • How to inspect parts and identify suspect / counterfeits.
  • Training shall be given to all employees that handle parts.

Communication – everyone must know and understand the problem in order to address it. This includes employees that order, receive, test, handle, inspect, and ship parts, as well as their managers.
